Frequently Asked Questions

We’ve answered a few common questions below. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, feel free to reach out—we’re always happy to help.

Which plants work best in a hanging rooter vase?

Many plants root beautifully in water, including:

  • Spider Plant

  • Coleus

  • English Ivy

  • Impatiens

  • Philodendron

  • Pothos

  • Prayer Plant

You can always experiment—simply place a cutting in water and see how it develops.

Where should I hang my vase?

Display your vase in bright, filtered light. Windows are a great choice, as they provide the light needed for healthy root growth.

Other options include window casings, upper cabinets, or wall hooks—anywhere it feels balanced and receives appropriate light.

Can I use my vase outdoors?

It depends on the finish.

Copper-coated pieces are best suited for indoor use, as outdoor exposure may cause tarnishing. Powder-coated and gold vein finishes are more durable and can be used outdoors.

What type of water should I use?

Tap water can be used, but spring water is often preferred for its natural mineral content.

If using tap water, it’s best to avoid heavily chlorinated water, as it may affect root health.

How often should I change the water?

Refresh the water when it becomes cloudy to keep it clean and clear.

In lower light conditions, water may stay clear longer. Topping off between changes is perfectly fine.

How do I clean the glass vase?

Clean with warm water and a small amount of mild soap.

For harder-to-reach areas, a soft brush or even uncooked rice with a bit of soap can help gently remove buildup.

For mineral deposits, a mixture of baking soda and vinegar can be used. Let it sit, then rinse thoroughly.

Why are there dark marks on the metal frame?

Each frame is handmade, and the welding process naturally creates subtle dark markings at the joints.

These marks are part of the piece and reflect its handcrafted nature. Powder-coated and gold vein finishes will have a more uniform appearance.

Do you offer custom pieces?

Yes—we’re happy to explore custom requests when possible. Feel free to reach out with your ideas, and we’ll let you know what we can create.
