Our rooting vases are handcrafted using high-quality, durable materials, including a 1/8" copper-coated rod and a hand-blown glass vase, designed for both beauty and functionality. Select pieces feature a solid brass butterfly, while all include a hardwood vase base, blending elegance with lasting craftsmanship.

The black welding marks you see are a natural result of the handcrafted process we use to create our products. These marks occur during welding and are a unique characteristic of our pieces, adding to their one-of-a-kind charm and authenticity. They do not affect the durability or quality of the product.

It’s simple! Just add water to the vase, insert your plant cutting, and place it in a well-lit area. Change the water every few days or weeks, and enjoy watching roots grow!

Just a few plants that root well are:

  • Spider Plant
  • Coleus
  • English Ivy
  • Impatiens
  • Philodendron
  • Pothos
  • Prayer Plant

Most of our vases work beautifully for various houseplants, especially those that propagate easily, like pothos, philodendrons, and herbs. If you’re unsure, feel free to ask.

Just about anywhere! Windows are a popular spot; this will provide the sunlight needed for your new roots to grow. Other popular spots are window casings, upper kitchen cabinets, and walls.

It should take a few weeks to months for the water to need changing, in the meantime, just keep topping off the water. If you are not transplanting from your rooter vase, you should change the water when you notice it is getting cloudy. The less direct sun the vase gets, the longer the water will stay clean.

To care for your Brass Butterfly rooting vase, simply shake and rinse with warm water and mild soap as needed. Avoid harsh chemicals, and handle with care to maintain its beauty. For thorough cleaning, gently use a small bottle brush to remove any sediment.

We recommend caution when using our copper-coated hooks and frames outdoors, as exposure to the elements can affect their finish over time. However, our gold vein and powder-coated hooks and frames are designed to withstand outdoor conditions and can be used outside without concern for weather damage.
